Cyber Crisis and Communication Workshop

Cyber Crisis and Communication Workshop.

A workshop on “Communication in Cyber Crisis Situations” took place on November 22-23, it covered both theoretical and practical aspects, addressing a wide range of topics related to cyber crises and crisis communication in the global society of the 21st century. Participants had the opportunity to learn from Estonian experts about best practices in communication management in cyber crisis situations, based on real cases from the country.

Experiences related to effective communication management in crisis situations were also presented, in the context of incidents and cyber security risks, both technically and legally and organizationally. The roles and responsibilities of the parties involved in managing national cyber security crises were discussed.

The workshop included practical exercises in which participants sought appropriate solutions for organizing communication in response to crisis situations or cyber incidents.

The transfer of knowledge and European practices in strategic communication is a crucial step in implementing proactive and reactive measures to reduce cyber risks and provide assistance in managing incidents, disinformation, or the use of false narratives aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Republic of Moldova.

The EU4Digital project: “Cybersecurity EAST” is funded by the European Union and implemented with the expertise of GFA Consulting Group GmbH and the E-Governance Academy.
